When not reading fantasy novels or torturing his family with off-key showtunes, Joshua manages Arcadia’s operations and financial analytics.

For clients, his focus is on translating subjective legal merits assessments into trackable risk data that informs Arcadia’s investment decisions and portfolio construction. It’s a topic he loves to discuss, so don’t ask him what that means if you’re looking for a short conversation. Joshua is also responsible for modeling and operations at Arcadia, and recently earned a Certificate in Financial Accounting from Harvard Business School Online.

Joshua joined the litigation finance industry at the beginning of 2020, quickly gravitating to risk analysis and control.

In his prior role at Validity Finance, he served as a member of the senior leadership with primary responsibility for risk analysis and pricing tools. Joshua’s work has resulted in Arcadia Finance being selected for inclusion in both Chambers USA’s and Legal 500’s ranking of top litigation funders in the U.S., and he has personally been recognized among Lawdragon’s “Global 100 Leaders in Legal Finance” for multiple years.

Joshua was previously a litigator at Boies Schiller Flexner, where he was involved in some of the country’s highest-profile and highest-stakes litigations and has worked extensively on appellate matters before the U.S. Supreme Court, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second and Fifth Circuits, the New York First and Second Departments, and the Superior Court of Pennsylvania. He has a decade of experience litigating antitrust and securities suits, government investigations (for both private and government clients), contract disputes, appeals, and multistate class actions. Joshua has served on the New York City Bar’s Minority in the Professions Committee and spent several years as Boies’ firm-wide pro bono coordinator. Joshua clerked for the Hon. Chester J. Straub of the Second Circuit Court of Appeals and the Hon. Kenneth M. Karas of the Southern District of New York. He is graduate of NYU Law School and the University of Chicago.
